Requirements:

The ideal candidates should be current communications, broadcasting, marketing, or mass media majors looking to gain valuable promotional/programming/event marketing experience in the radio industry.

You must be 18 years of age or older .
Internships require an applicant to be receiving academic credit for the internship � it is the applicant's responsibility to set up the internship with the school.
All positions are unpaid, and WAXQ-FM does not provide for transportation reimbursement costs.

PROMOTIONS

Tasks:

Assist the Q104.3 promotional street team with various events
Set-up, management and tear-down of events
Interaction with listeners and clients
Travel throughout the tri-state area
Assist in live broadcast set-up and tear-down
Data entry
Support all other promotional functions within the department

Candidates must:

Receive credit or supply a letter indicating support from an accredited educational institution.
Have a flexible schedule to work various events at different locations and at different times
Be detail oriented and organized
Have great communication skills because job requires interaction with clients and entertaining listeners.
Have a valid driver's license
Be able to lift up to 20 lbs.

The internship offers a rare behind-the-scenes opportunity to learn about the internal and external communications of Clear Channel Radio New York. Public Relations interns will be responsible for paste-ups, clip reports, and calendar announcements for station events.

NOTE: College students who have already taken classes in PR and are currently enrolled in Junior or Senior years ONLY!
